The Girls Bible Challenge (GBC) is a groundbreaking, faith-centered quiz initiative designed to empower and uplift girls across Africa through the Word of God. Hosted annually on allWomen.africa, the GBC provides a dynamic and engaging platform for girls at Preschool, Primary, High School and University levels to explore age-relevant biblical teachings, develop confidence and foster healthy competition grounded in faith.

🌸 A Purpose-Driven Platform for Every Girl

The GBC is more than just a quiz. It is a movement to nurture young girls spiritually, mentally and morally by introducing them to relatable, age-specific Bible-based lessons. Every girl who signs up gains access to a growing weekly series of multiple-choice quizzes, designed specifically for her age group and spiritual maturity level.

Each participant must subscribe to their appropriate level via the GBC portal. Upon subscription, girls unlock weekly quizzes throughout the year, accessible only to verified participants. These quizzes challenge the girls to apply biblical truths to real-life issues affecting them at their stage of growth—offering both knowledge and wisdom from a God-centered perspective.

📝 Lessons Authored by Female Faith Leaders

The strength of the GBC lies in the wisdom of its contributors—female partner pastors, wives of pastors and seasoned women of faith—who provide biblically sound, girl-focused lessons tailored to the developmental and emotional realities of girls today. These contributors are required to submit 1,000 original quiz questions, each with three multiple-choice answers, for the level they are supporting.

The questions are drawn directly from the lessons they teach, ensuring a consistent, age-appropriate and doctrinally sound approach to spiritual education. Topics may include identity in Christ, managing peer pressure, God’s view of beauty, dealing with fear, or choosing friends wisely—all through a biblical lens.

🎯 Leaderboards, Prizes & Recognition

To ensure fairness and reward consistency, each girl's performance is calculated based on a weighted average of all the quizzes she has attempted during the year. The more quizzes a girl participates in, the greater her chance to climb the leaderboard.

Prizes are awarded to the top girl at each level, with the amounts being:

• Preschool: US$10,000
• Primary School: US$7,500
• High School: US$5,000
• University: US$2,500

But GBC goes further:
The girl’s church, school and subscription sponsor will each receive the same amount as the winner, provided the church also submitted questions to the challenge. If the church did not contribute questions, it receives one-fifth of the prize value instead.

This approach rewards the entire support ecosystem around the girl—encouraging churches and schools to invest in the biblical education of their girls and inviting sponsors (individuals or organizations) to participate in the spiritual growth of the next generation.

🎉 The Grand Finale: In-Person Championship

At the end of each GBC season—coinciding with the start of the school holidays—the Top 100 girls from each level are invited to a Physical GBC Championship Event. This in-person showdown will be a celebration of faith, learning and achievement, bringing together the brightest girls in biblical understanding from across the region.

This culminating event provides a platform for networking, mentorship, worship and further encouragement for the girls to pursue spiritual excellence beyond the quiz.

Girls, churches, schools and sponsors can all take part in GBC by visiting the GBC Registration Portal and following these simple steps:

1. Girls register and subscribe at their educational level.
2. Churches and schools can become content partners by submitting questions.
3. Sponsors can fund subscriptions for girls or partner with schools/churches.
4. Weekly quizzes go live throughout the year.
5. Leaderboards are updated regularly.
6. Winners and their communities are celebrated at year-end.
